Identification of the location and chemical nature of mineral particles in patients with infiltrative pathology by mineralogical analysis (MA) of paraffin-embedded tissue biopsies using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) (French)

The histopathological observation of histological sections by optical microscopy (OM) in natural or polarized light makes it possible to highlight the presence of opaque or anisotropic particles and fibers without being able to determine their chemical nature. Our objective is to correlate this optical observation with a mineralogical study by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with X-ray emission analysis on paraffin biopsies of pulmonary infiltrative pathologies.
