EVALUATION OF THE MINERAL EXPOSOME

Minapath Development studies the dosage in human tissues of mineral particles and fibers in search of abnormal overload. These analyzes are mainly performed within the pathological tissue lesions by in situ qualitative studies..

Minapath uses optical and electronic microscopy techniques coupled with microanalysis to identify the chemical nature of particles. The company uses its own scanning electron microscope to automatically analyze a large number of particles.

Minapath relies on the provision of environmental analyzes and targeted questionnaires as part of a multidisciplinary approach to measure mineral exposome.

AN APPROACH WITH SEVERAL STAKEHOLDERS

The Minapath company comes from a common initiative of two entities :

the Association ALCTMP (french Association against Thoracic Cancer and MineraloPathologies) created more than 30 years ago to support the research of the Pneumology department of the St Joseph St Luc Hospital Center then headed by Dr. Vincent. It has moved towards almost exclusive support for research in mineralopathology ;

the European SILICOSIS project, headed by Professor PA Rosental, hosted at the Center for European Studies at Sciences-Po Paris.
